Types of Conflict in Media and Text
Description of Pedagogical Tool:
The following PowerPoint presentation describes the four main types of literary conflicts; slides include defining bullet points and a voice over for further explanation and audio learners. Each conflict is paired with a popular film clip that exemplifies the type of conflict, such as Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Jurassic World. This pedagogical tool is concluded with two culminating activities, a conflict analysis of a film clip (formative) and a short story (cumulative).
