I am Strong and Stable – An Interactive Book about Structures
Description of Pedagogical Tool:
This interactive read aloud text was created as our pedagogical tool to introduce and reinforce complex scientific vocabulary and concepts related to the Ontario Grade 3 Strong and Stable Structures unit. Each human-made structure is paired with an engaging image of a child in a yoga pose. Students will gain insight into the concepts of strength and stability by re-creating each structure pose to learn the new vocabulary. This tool is geared toward grade 3 students and English language learners and can be used to introduce the fundamental concept of Structure and Function in the primary and junior grade levels.
